Thawte Certificates (for production use)
The UISO offers SSL certificates for production use at Indiana University for a reduced cost through the Thawte SPKI program.
Thawte-issued certificates work in all mainstream browsers. Thawte's signing certificates are included in the standard installations of Mozilla/Firefox, IE, Safari and Opera.
IUCA Certificates (for test and internal use)
The UISO also offers SSL server certificates for testing/staging/development purposes as well as services internal to Indiana University with a limited number of users. These certificates are being offered at no cost to IU employees and affiliates.
In order to utilize IUCA-issued certificates, you must import one or both of our certificates into your web browser. IE users need both certificates. Other browsers just need the signing certificate.

Import the signing certificate (iuca.crt)
